I'm Brandie Carlos (She/Her/Ella), I'm born and raised in East Los Angeles, California. I'm a Millennial First Gen Latina with strong Gen X influence (Thanks, Tia's!).  I'm proud to share, my first business was selling Mexican candy out of my backpack in first grade. Business was my first love. Since then I've created multiple businesses from scratch, been featured in Oprah magazine, and created Therapy for Latinx the first National Mental Health Directory for the Latinx community. The top questions people have for me are "How do I start an online business?", "What tech stack should I use?", "How do I hit six and seven figures in my business?".  Most people don’t know that I love recreating restaurant recipes at home with a gluten free twist, have an addiction to Architectural Digest, collecting books (524 and counting), & taking road trips all over Southern California. I grew up in the 90's and all the Black and Brown people I knew were employees for someone else, hard working, and often struggling to make ends meet no matter how many hours they put in at work. In building a business and a brand it was important to me to see BIPOC become business owners, industry leaders, and shake things up. It was about creating platforms for people who were never voiceless (I don't believe there's such a thing) but people who just didn't have access to a platform to use their voice. For me, this work is about disrupting industries and breaking stereotypes.

Meet the Founder

When I started to dive into the world of personal branding, business branding, and design. I really saw it not just as something visual, or a catchy slogan but as a tool for deep transformation.

Getting clear on my personal brand made me take inventory of my life, connect with the parts of my story that were the cornerstone for who I am, and define my personal values.

I knew that for me, it was about disrupting industries and breaking stereotypes. I grew up in the 90's in East LA and all the Black and Brown people I knew were employees for someone else, hard working, and often struggling to make ends meet no matter how many hours they put in at work.

In building a business and a brand it was important to me to see BIPOC become business owners, industry leaders, and shake things up. It was about creating platforms for people who were never voiceless (I don't believe there's such a thing) but people who just didn't have access to a platform to use their voice. Business wasn't just about adding zero's to my bank account it was about creating generational wealth not just for my family but the clients I served and the communities we loved. I wouldn't know how to express this if it wasn't for understanding myself deeply through my branding process.

I use these insights to create my client experience, to filter through the right projects to take on, and who I want to work with. It really serves me as a grounding tool to make decisions in my business that align with who I am as a person and as Herencia Studio.

We believe luxury is a birth right and that access to design, art, and luxury shouldn't be defined by your race, gender, or economic status. We imagine a world where art is accessible, where things and experiences of opulence are for us too. You deserve all the good things, you deserve all the joy, and luxuries life has to offer. Take the vacation, get your nails done, ask for first class or better yet buy it. We deserve good things too.

We are life long learners.
The online space is an industry that moves fast and we are always investing in online courses, coaching, and staying on top of the latest technology. Our teachers include Amy Porterfield, Bossbabe, Becca Luna, Danielle Leslie, Donald Miller, Jasmin Star, Kirsten Roldan, Marie Forleo, Ryan Deiss, and more. We honor teachers with transparency and acknowledgement.
